Custom Instruments

Jim offers custom instruments in three full-sized body styles—SJ (Small Jumbo), Jumbo, and Dreadnaught—as well as a smaller Parlor model. Visit the Standard Models page to see some examples of custom instruments based on these standard models.

James Taylor Signature Models

In 2002 Jim collaborated with James Taylor on the specification of a limited edition series of James Taylor Signature Model Olson guitars. These instruments closely resemble JT's favorite performing guitar, but with special appointments making the series a distinctive commemoration of the work of these two artists. Appointments

Jim offers many optional appointments of his own design that can help make your Olson guitar unique. These range from simple fret markers to fancy rosettes, customized inlays, and carved neck heels. Jim will also happily work with other artisans to help make your guitar a unique work of art.
