Phil uses this trick at least once in all his blues jams in E... this is a PK signature. E-------------------0-------------------- B-----------------------------<7>-------- G------------7--------6/7------------------ D--------4/5---7/9---------9--------------- A-----5----------------------------------- E-0h7------------------------------------- Sometimes PK will throw out that second to last note (9th fret) and just double the 7th fret harmonic. It's the same note. Sometimes he gets the harmonic from the 9th fret, and then goes for the 7th fret harmonic. Cool riff tho'. Anyway, I believe the *AS* TAB book has the same riff, but as follows: E-----------------------0---------------------- B--------------3----------------<7>--<7>------ G-----------------2/4------6/7----------------- D---------4/5--------------------------------- A------5-------------------------------------- E-0h7----------------------------------------- Which is a *lot* harder to handle, if not impossible. You hammer that first note with the pinky, have your middle finger in place and waiting for the next note, have your index in place on the 4th fret for the finger-n-slide... how you get to the 3rd fret from there with any grace is beyond me. It feels better to have your pinky nail the next note, at the 7th fret. Wishing I could have had a part in the TAB-bing of AS, cuz it woulda been cool, Jacob
