There is something about a harp that sets it uniquely apart from other instruments, whether it's the sound of the harp or the graceful beauty of its form. I perform at weddings, receptions, and special occasions in the Finger Lakes area of Upstate New York. Weddings and background music are my specialties, especially classical, Broadway, and Celtic music.

Over the past 15 years, I have entertained at countless weddings and events in the Finger Lakes at the Ithaca Festival, the Ithaca Farmer's Market, the Ginny Lee Café, Tinelli's Hathaway House, The Fontainebleu, The Aurora Inn, Ithaca College, and Cornell University, and in Texas at Houston's Ritz Carlton Hotel, The Brownstone, The Heritage Club, and La Tour d'Argent Restaurant, to name a few.

I can be reached via E-mail from the top and bottom of this page. I have a solo demonstration tape and a new full length CD with Violinist Ruth Roland.

"[New husband] and I want to thank you for playing at our wedding. The harp was beautiful. I actually had never heard a harp 'live' until our wedding day. While all the girls were on the back patio of the Inn waiting to come down, I could hear the music. Everyone loved it!...I hope you don't mind if I recommend you to others. Thank you again, we really appreciated your performing!" --Note from the Bride, from a Summer 1999 wedding.

Harps in Different Sizes

I have two instruments: a concert pedal harp and a folk harp (which I'm playing here). The concert pedal harp is often seen in orchestras: it stands over 6 feet tall, weighs 81 pounds, and has 47 strings. Mine is a natural wood finish with ornate carvings. The concert harp may be your instrument of choice for lavish indoor gatherings where such a large instrument will add to the ambience. The folk harp is a lighter, sprightlier harp. Made of golden maple, it stands nearly 5 feet tall and has 36 strings. Still an eye-catching instrument, the folk harp's 23-pound weight makes it more versatile than the concert harp. It is the harp of choice for outdoor events or for folk music. The two harps are approximately equal in volume and my repertoire is virtually the same on each.
